About Me
Learn about my journey from Speech-Language Pathology to User Experience.
I love connecting with people and creatively solving problems.
When deciding to become a speech-language pathologist about 10 years ago, I was excited to enter a profession that gave me the opportunity to build relationships with others while knowing my work had a tangible impact. Although supporting individual students in public schools has been incredibly rewarding, I have found that I really want my work to have a wider reach.

I began exploring the world of UX while taking coursework at NYU as part of the Learning Technology and Experience Design MA program. I immediately took to UX due to the overlap that exists between the skillset of a speech-language pathologist and a designer. Both roles rely on understanding others through observation and data, identifying challenges, and creating solutions to problems. The years I have spent refining these skills through my time as a speech-language pathologist have uniquely prepared me to take on the challenges of UX work. I approach each project with empathy, creativity, and a hunger to learn.
